<BR>Job Description:<BR><BR> WHY WAIT?<BR>Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity?<BR>This may be your lucky day!<BR>It is time for a change, and CDI can help!<BR><BR>We have an immediate need for a Telecom Engineer<BR><BR>JOB DESCRIPTION<BR>Years Experience 3-5 years <BR>This position is responsible for specifications, procurement, engineering/documentation, and technical support associated with the installation of wireless radio systems including two-way voice and data, trunked, repeater, paging, multiple-address, and microwave in the 150 Mhz. to 6 Ghz. range. Other responsibilities include FCC licensing and engineering support for associated systems such as self-supporting towers, feedlines, antennas, equipment shelters, DC power systems, generators, and transient/grounding protection. <BR><BR>Minimum Qualifications <BR>1. Bachelors degree in Engineering or 2 -year technical degree in a related field.<BR>2. Minimum 3 years work experience in engineering wireless systems. <BR>3. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. <BR>4. Good verbal and written communications skills. <BR>5. Work well in a team environment.<BR>6. Proficient in use of E-mail, MS Office - Word and Excel <BR><BR>Desired qualifications <BR>1. Bachelors degree in engineering. <BR>2. 5 years work experience in engineering and project management. <BR>3. Proven track record in successful project management. <BR>4. Experienced in use of documentation tools such as AutoCad or Visio. <BR>5. Familiarity with state, federal, and local regulations as they apply to wireless telecommunications facilities. <BR><BR>Specific job responsibilities: <BR>1. Develops, plans, and prepares engineering job packages consisting of detailed parts/equipment list, logical installation instructions, and appropriate documentation (drawings, wiring diagrams, layouts, etc.) to support an efficient installation and maintenance process. <BR>2. Prepares and submits cost estimates, economic studies, and special work requests for planned projects. <BR>3. Works effectively with other team members to successfully implement wireless systems. <BR>4. Inspects and monitors installations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, standards, and procedures.<BR>5. Resolves complex technical problems and provides assistance to Installation and Maintenance personnel. - Conducts independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material, components, or process specifications and requirements. <BR>- Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. <BR>- Assists in preparation of bids and proposals as required. <BR>- May coordinate the work and provide work leadership to lower level employees assigned to projects. <BR><BR>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS <BR>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: <BR>- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline. Five (5) years experience required. <BR><BR>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: <BR><BR>- Excellent analytical and Microsoft office environment skills required. <BR>- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. <BR>- Data and image processing along with GUI development in a Real Time Embedded system a plus.
